Mako (Andrew), a past CMI-Perth member, is pastor here, so we met at 9 in the Baptist Church. Many were away on this long week-end, but visitors made up the difference. Good music using a CD followed by his sermon on divorce based on the sermon on the mount. He did a good job of it; no compromise, and why it’s wrong (everyone involved becomes adulterous); he also gave an explanation of Moses’ exception in Deuteronomy and Paul in the NT, showing that it is not unforgivable. (Hilary had to sit in the van due to the fans which give her a headache). We made a date with Mako for dinner Monday next week.
There are dinosaur prints at the Point, but they are not signposted and may only be visible at low tide. I found a few possible but unlikely ones. People came and went rapidly to see the jumble of broken limestone here. We had lunch in the van in the Cable Beach car park, unloaded at Beaches, and returned the van. I called for a taxi after waiting a long time for the bus.
The sunset was not good – too much cloud, but dinner at the Zookeepers Store was excellent; fish with crab croquet, and we shared the sweets (crème brule, apple crumble, chocolate cake, and a raspberry jelly!)
